How to install CF Shopkart 5

1. Download it

2. Uncompress with Winrar or another file that will uncompress rar files.

3. FTP all the files to your server exactly how they are.

4. Create a coldfusion DSN to either the included Access DB or create a MySQL database using the included SQL schema using your favorite MySQL management software.

5. Open Datasource.cfm in the main folder and edit the datasource variable to whatever DSN you setup in step 4.  Make sure you change the location of the adminpath variable so that you can login to your control panel.  Also make sure that any "hide settings" variables are set to NO.  Save and close.

6. Open your browser and point to your website and add /admin/ to the URL (example:  http://www.YOURWEBSITE.com/admin/).

7.  Login with the default username/password:  Username:  admin  Password:  admin.

8.  Click on Setup to expand it and then click on Store Settings.  Set all the paths to what they should be and click on update at the bottom.   CF shopkart is ready to use.

9.  NOTE: Change the default password so that no one else can login and see it.

How to install CF Shopkart SE BETA 2

1. Download it

4. Create a coldfusion DSN to either the MySQL database (included) or the MS Acess (seperate download) database.  For MySQL use the included SQL schema in your favorite MySQL management software to build the tables.

5. Open config.cfm in the main folder and edit the datasource variable to whatever DSN you setup in step 4.  Set all the paths, and make sure they are correctly or CF ShopkartSE will fail to load.

6. Open your browser and point to your website and add /admin/ to the URL (example:  http://www.YOURWEBSITE.com/admin/).

7. Login with the default username/password:  Username:  admin  Password:  admin.

8.  Change the default password so that no one else can login and see it.
